Steven Murphy’s visit was absolutely wonderful and the reports from both students and teachers have been extremely positive, the feedback from that experience was tremendous. Steven Murphy has a real gift when it comes to presenting his message to children. What is more important is the message he gives to the children.

A gripping and emotional read that caught me off guard.

The Pyjama Boy isn’t the kind of story you simply pass through. it’s one that pulls you in, piece by piece, until you realize you’ve been holding your breath for entire chapters. Steven Murphy has a gift for creating atmosphere; every page feels heavy with tension and quiet sorrow. The characters are beautifully written, flawed, and very human the kind that make you think about the choices people make when they’re pushed to the edge.

What stood out most for me was the emotional honesty. There’s something raw and unsettling about the way Murphy handles pain, guilt, and redemption. Nothing feels exaggerated everything lands with quiet power. I found myself reading certain paragraphs twice, just to let the words sink in.

If you enjoy dark, character-driven stories with heart and purpose, The Pyjama Boy is absolutely worth your time. It’s haunting, beautifully written, and unforgettable in its simplicity.
