Your presentation was excellent and the hit of the 2 days for the students. I would love to have you back again next year as the students really benefitted from your talk.

I have just finished reading you book and will be recommending it to some of my clients as a way of showing them that they can reclaim their lives from an abusive childhood.

Steven Murphy’s visit was absolutely wonderful and the reports from both students and teachers have been extremely positive, the feedback from that experience was tremendous. Steven Murphy has a real gift when it comes to presenting his message to children. What is more important is the message he gives to the children.

Nichola Lister

I thought you might like to know that you received a special mention in our Principal’s address at the Tully State School he mentioned your visit to our School as a memorable and important occasion. Thank you for sharing your inspirational story with our students.

A triumph of the human spirit!

July 19, 2025

From start to finish a book that is free from self pity yet rich in humility and honesty. A truely inspiring read of strength and resilience with layers of raw emotion, of human weakness and redemption. A story that showcases how learned behaviours and strong values can set the stage for a good life.

Loved it.

Easy and inspirational

July 19, 2025

This true story is more than just a book—it’s a testament to the power of the human spirit. From the very first page, I was drawn into a life filled with adversity, courage, and an unshakable drive to rise above it all. Steven has a remarkable story and I am so glad he was able to share it with the world.

Breaking the cycle

July 19, 2025

I have worked with Steven Murphy for a couple of years and truly admire his work ethic and people skills. After reading his book, I applaud him for his resilience, being able to change, and break the cycle of a path that he could have easily gone down. He stayed strong and true to his beliefs. The book covered all questions that came up during the read. I would highly recommend to Young and Old as parts are very relatable to everyone.

“An Inspirational Life.”

July 2, 2025

From the moment I stated to read this book I could not put it down. There were many moments my heart broke for the little boy. He was let down by many of those who should have nurtured and protected him. In spite of his circumstances he showed great resilience. He weathered the bumps and setbacks to eventually achieved his goal. Inspirational.

The Ultimate Achiever

Meeting Steven in the mid 90’s working alongside him was a lot of fun, some say larrikins we were at times. Deep down there were snippets of his past and on reading ‘The Pyjama Boy’, I then fully understood his courage and drive to succeed through long nights of study to achieve his life goals and become the strong man he is today. Fabulous read mate and I highly recommend to others on how from humble beginnings, life is what you make of it and you have certainly proved that!
